About.
Karina Zajac is a contemporary artist based in London with international
connections.
Karina was born 29th April 1987 in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.
She graduated in philosophy and law from the University of Silesia in 2013 before realizing a few years later that art needed to be the centre of her life.
Not long after publishing her literature debut "Tomorrow" by Miniatura Publishing House in Krakow, Poland, 2015, she started her artistic journey with multiple sketches and drawings to create a villain character "Spideath" as a result of the graphic novel "Spideath Kamikaze Mission" she wrote, illustrated and published in Detroit, USA in 2018.
Nowadays, she mainly describes herself as an acrylic portrait artist; hence she is looking to surprise and delight within all palettes of emotions she shows on the canvas.
Karina hopes to convey a sense of psychological insight with respect for human complexity. She paints whom she sees in the manner of their feelings recolouring everything dark into vibrant colours. Her chief goal is to set relations between all colours she uses on canvas to create a correlation between them. The artist desires to build a world of pure and truthful souls among ordinary life's dull and grey reality.
Karina’s work could be found in private collections across the world as well as at the biggest auction house in Warsaw, Poland, Desa Unicum as well as in Galleries in New York, USA.
